*P*A*R*T*Y*

This year I planned a big birthday party for Belle because she was turning 5. So I thought of many themes that we could do; tea party, fancy dress up party, horse party, and so many more...
Belle was set that she wanted a Jessie party! We saw Toy Story 3 in June and from that point on she loved Jessie! She got a Jessie doll and she went everywhere with Belle, so I thought it was only natural to have a cowgirl/Jessie party...
I love theme parties and making sure that it all goes together!! I saw this sign on Etsy, it was just painted cardboard and I loved it! Downfall~it was selling for $40, ugh!! I asked Matthew if we could do it, and we did!! I love it!!
Then I had to decide on treats. I love baking cupcakes, they are so easy to serve and for little one's to eat. I made them cowprint, like Jessie's pants! I also made several kinds of sugar cookies; Jessie's hat, Sheriff Woody's star, and cowboy boots. I also made rice crispy treats that were hay bales, so much fun!! Everyone recognized the treats and what they were supposed to be so that was good!!
Belle blew out the cake and if you look close you can see that they candles were little boots, I found them and had to have them!! Belle loves anything cowgirl!!

I set the tables with placemats of bandana's, hats, plastic horses, and horse confetti. We also had balloon horses, 2 of them, and they were a hit!! We had tons of people there this year and it just added to the fun!!
This is one of Belle's Bff's, Kennedy! She was so excited that Kennedy could make it, I was too!!
This is Belle's other bff, Emma, and the 3 of them were in pre-k together last year and they are still friends this year even if they aren't in the same class any more! I think they will be friends for a long time, isn't it cute?!?!
The party was at Oil Belt Camp, a local christian camp near up. It was already in a western decor theme and so we just had it there. That is one of the problems of having a winter birthday, you have to have it inside.
London and Cousin Ellie. They are super friends already!! They were dressed in western wear!!
One of our friends' daughter Olivia trying to make some music from a bottle of root beer. We served IBC, because you have to have root beer and it is the best!!

The famous horse balloon's...
I tied them to cowboy hats and put them as center pieces and that was just too much for the kids!! They just had to wear the hats with the horses attached. They had some help as you can see, Aaron a friend of ours is a youth minister in Centralia and well you know any youth minister, just like a kid... haha!! No he was great and the kids had fun but the poor horses didn't last to the next day! One lost a tail and the other was released and got his nose stuck in an airvent...
My brother Jacob came and he even brought a gift for London, wasn't that the sweetest ever??? Love him!! It was a dog that laughs and rolls around, London loves dogs!!

Another group shot!!
Belle opening the gifts!! She got so many and just loved everyone of them!!
Toy Story 3 clock!! London also really loves Toy story and I am pretty sure he thinks this is his. They share a room and it is hanging so both of them can see it while laying in bed. He points at it every night, funny man!!!
More and more gifts!!
This is a family friends little girl Ava, she is the same age as London and she is jsut precious!!
There was a gym down stairs from the part room and we played games. Poor little London just wanted to play too!! Don't worry he did get to play after the big kids were done!
Emma and Samantha, church friend racing. We raced horses and played 'There is a snake in my boot toss'. Don't worry no harm came to any animal, reptile, or child during any of the fun!! :)
See I told you he got to play and he was very happy even if he didn't race really!! I found those horses at a garage sale this summer so one is his and the other is Belle's. He knew jsut how to ride them all over the gym and it is so cute!!
Here is Ava's older sissy with a horse hat on!!
I think Belle had a great time at here party and hopefully she will remember it!! I am so thankful that we have great family and friends. I thank you all for all the wonderful gifts but we are more thankful that you could all come and celebrate Belle with us!!
Thanks!!!

Thankful for family!!

This year for thanksgiving we were so very busy! Matthew's aunts and uncles, his mom's brothers and sisters, all came down and stayed for the whole weekend. We live right next door so we went there every day but we were able to sleep in our own beds, not that we slept that weekend!! Besides that it was a wonderful time and I just love having family near and being part of them!
We did so much with all of the cousins and it was great!! I was introduced to a new card game called Dutch Blitz. It is an awesome game and I recommend it to everyone. It is like nerts, I think that is the name I don't know that game. Matthews cousins from Kansas brought it and we played it whenever we could.
London was so friendly to everyone! He especially loved Matthews uncle Steve. His little family is from Indy and we rarely see them but London just loved him. He was always bringing him books to read and Steve was eating it up!!
Another activity that broke out amongst the cousins was making friendship bracelets, remember them!! It was so much fun and I could remember making them over and over again in jr high! I think I could have made so many if I didn't have responsibilities, lol!! We all made one but not all finished them so we couldn't get a picture. The skill came back so easily and I hadn't made one in over 15 years!!
On Thanksgiving day we ate with the Kuhlig family, Matthew's dad's family, and it was a really nice meal!! The kids had fun playing with the cousins on that side. My kids love being with there family!! When we came home to my in laws we had an evening meal with the rest of the family. My brother in law and his children made a bread cornucopia, corn of plenty if you are Belle!!! So they filled it with Fruit and stuff and ate it at the kids table. Chuck had the children to take a peice and tell what they were thankful for, it was amazing to see the kids paticipate. I hope to do that next year!!
Isn't it beautiful??? I wish I was this creative!

A little London lovin'!! I love his kisses and get them whenever I can!! He is all boy and you almost have to fight him to get them sometimes!!

I made Belle and London shirts this year. I didn't get pictures of them, ugh!! This is the best of Belle's. It said 'Give Thanks' with a full turkey on it. I loved it!!
This is London's Shirt. It had a cooked turkey on it and it said Thanks. I wanted them to have matching ones but not to matchy!! They were both on white shirts that we already had so they cost me nothing but time, which I have...
All in all I think I had such a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I also never told anyone what I am thankful for!
I am thankful for so much this year! I am thankful for all of my family and friends, under my roof and miles and miles away!! I don't think that I would be the same without them and I wish I could see them more often!! I am thankful for the church that I belong to, it has some ups and downs but it is making a strive to be more like the church that Christ wanted everyday!! Lastly I am thankful for God and his love for me, I am so very lucky that he still loves me even after all of my failings!! I don't know where I would be without him!!

I have so much more that I am thankful for but should stop for now...

Thankful!!

So sorry for my absence, our computer literally died!! We had to get a new one and then it didn't want to recognize my blog. I finally worked out some of the bugs but I have more to go, ugh technology!!
Any-who...
While I was away so much happened and I wanted to fill you in...
Belle had her Thanksgiving Feast at school and I was lucky enough to be a volunteer, one of the perks to being a SAHM!! She and her class all dressed like little indians and the other class dressed as pilgrams, they were adorable!! This is one of Belle's friends in her class, Kaleigh. The feast is all snack food because they are in morning pre-k.

I am so thankful that I get to do this, and Belle really loves that I am able to be there for her!!
