Monday Monday...

This Monday I went to a friends house, Beth Cooper, and we crafted!! Love it!! We had such a great time that we are going to do it as often as we can, yeah!! Beth has a Cricut machine and last week we learned how to cut out fabric with it. On the commercials they explain that the machine can do anything easy peasy, not so!! You really have to learn your machine and the different things you want to learn about it. So last week we just fiddled around and learned how to cut fabric. Now once you work it out, took us all afternoon, it really is easy. Beth is working on an outfit for her older daughter, Maleah. It is an autumn skirt and shirt set and it is turning out super cute! I didn't make anything last week but this week I brought a project with me and it turned out so super cute!! I made a shirt for London.
I heart mustach...
How cute is that!! I am sure that if you are a mommy to a boy you know that boy clothing is... eek!! you can find really cute stuff but for a price and well I don't have it so....
I was given this shirt and it was just plain white, booorriinngg!! I decided that it needed something on it and I love mustach stuff for little boys. We thought about what it should say and this is what we came up with and I just love it!! This is the front...
and this is the back... I love the little mustach on the back!!! I can't wait until he can wear it!!
Then I had to do something for Belle...
Quick story:
Belle watches Saturday morning cartoons and they are littered with commercials directed to kids (THANKS!!). One of the things she loves are the Sketchers Twinkle Toes which are $40!!! Um No!! I can't make myself do it with our budget, I really really want to but can't! Matthew actually came up with this idea! I got some shoes and made our very own personal twinkle toes!! Beth has a heat sealer and we heat sealed jewels on the shoes...
Aren't they wonderful???

The best part is they are Children's Place, so much less than $40. I payed I think $12, I know I could have done better but well...
The best part is I put A's on both of the toes. You can't get that in the store!! She loves them and really can't wait to wear them!! I am so glad that this is the route we went, even though I really wanted those shoes for her. I think she is learning that you can't buy everything but maybe you can make something better!! I talked to her about how these are not the one's she wanted but I made them for her and she loves them. At first she was sad that they didn't light up, ugh!! Thank you TV!!!!

Somewhere in time...

This past weekend we attended family camp at Oil Belt Christian Service Camp. It was a wonderful weekend, tiring, but wonderful!! The theme was 'Wanted... Your family!!' On Saturday they had an event back in the woods that was wild west theme!! It was wonderfully put together!! I think that the kids and adults both had the best time that day!! They had all kinds of things to do for everyone. There was a mechanical bull, a kids train ride, sarsaparilla (rootbeer) on tap, live bluegrass, shooting paintballs at things, little kids shooting bottles thing, and we had dinner down there!! Right before dinner they had a 'real' shootout. The sheriff told everyone there would be NO cutting and then wouldn't you know it, someone cut!! So he had a duel and shot him, it was so much fun!! Belle said that at school when you cut you just go to the back of the line but at camp you get killed! I am so getting a note from school!!

Matthew was called earlier about taking pictures for the night. I was pretty excited to get family pictures, finally, we have zero with London!! The camp asked that we all dress up so I talked the whole, extended and all, to dress up for the day. That way we could get some cute pictures. Little did I know that they were going to provide us with costumes, how fun!!! They filled up the time slots before we got to sign up so I was bummed! Then Mark, camp manager, told us they would be doing some Sunday. We signed up!! So here is our first family picture with London, I love it!! We look so fun, I am ordering it in HUGE!!! :)
Then we had to get one of all of the little kids!! Lt to RT/Back row: Belle age 4, Charlie age 3, and Mattea age 4. Front row/ Lt to RT: London age 1 and Ellie age 1. They are ADORABLE!!! I love how cute they all look!!
This is a funny one! You always have a few but it is super duper cute!! Belle is strangeling London but he is loving it!! Charlie is sticking out her little tongue. Mattea is sweet looking and poor Ellie is seriously over all of us!!
This is the Kuhlig Clan!! So many of us and the space was so small!! Lt to RT: Dan(father in law), Sherry (mother in law), Matthew (the hubby), Me (I don't know why I look so intense), London (who stinks to high heaven by now), Mattea (tired), Belle (also tired), Charlie (poor girl in a hole!!), Chuck (also intense), Adrien (looking like an authentic mother on the prarie), and little Ellie (more plesant than any other picture!!).
And of course grandparents and grandchildren!! Grandpa is holding one tired child with a ver VERY full diaper by now, can you tell?!?!? I wish you could catch smell on camera because wow!! We were in line so we just had to keep going until we were done. He pooped right before this and I changed him and he did it again, ugh!! Oh well we got great pics!! Matthew took all of them that he was not in. He is such a great photographer!!
The weekend is kind of a new tradition. We all go and have a great time. I hope that the kids have a great time and really learn about Jesus. Belle loves being with her cousins and I love seeing family and friends all being around!! If you have a camp near you take advantage of family camp, great time had by all!!

School is in session

Monday was the first day of Pre-k in Flora. Pre-k starts later than regular school here. Belle is in her second year of school. We have the same teacher Mrs. Jennings, she is amazing and Belle just adores her!! The difference in this year is that she is going to AM Pre-k. I wanted her to be able to nap so she could go to dance/tumbling this year. So on her first day we went to school and then dance, wow!!! Belle was excited to get to wear her new clothes, she has been asking since we got them!!! Her she is getting ready to be driven to school. I take her to her first day, and I think I always will. I want school to be special and fun so I have a few things that we have to do before school and on her first day!!

The night before we do pedi's together and paint our nails. She loves this and I love spending one on one with her!! We talk and be girlie together, I hope she always want to do this!! Then the day of I wanted to make something special for breakfast, monkey bread. That was horrible!! Somehow it just wouldn't cook, I don't know why, so we went to get a donut. I think that could be our fun morning first day breakfast!! I don't know yet!! Then Matthew and I take her to school )she will ride the bus normally) and she gets her pic taken in her class. We then pick her up and go out with grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, and London. I think that is fun and for 2 years we have done this!! She tells us all about her day and it is all about her!!
This year she was pretty excited about her book bag, Jessie!!!!! I cannot tell you how much she loves Jessie but it is huge!! So I found one on the Disneystore site and it was a great price and we got a lunch bag. We won't need it but it was FREE!!
She is making new friends and learning already!! Even if she thought it was silly that she should go back to school because she knew everything!! Funny kid!! She will think this way and then wake up and realize that we know nothing!!

~Belle~ Have a wonderful year!! I know you will make some forever friends and learn something you didn't know before!! You are so smart and I just know that learning is going to be something that we have fun doing together!! I hope you always feel like you do about school and love it!!! You are going to go so far!! Love you Boo!!

The toothless wonder!!

Belle has lost her first tooth!! How cute is this?!?!?
She came to me during VBS and told me that she had a loose tooth and instantly I thought oh no, what did she get hit with??? Well she was fine and hadn't been hit with anything but had her first ever loose tooth, and by loose I mean barely hanging on there. She is 4 so I hadn't expected anything and was blown away. Belle teethed very early, try 3 months, as soon as she had her sleeping routine figured out, ugh!! So I guess that attributed to that and she was pretty excited!! So we played the waiting game and with all the pleading and begging she would not let me pull it out. Then one morning she was eating jelly toast with a jam I got from the farmers market she lost her tooth. She didn't notice until awhile later and came in a panic to tell me!! We originally thought that she must have swallowed it during the night and were content with that. That was not what happened and Belle was the one that figured it our, smart girl!! Remember the jelly toast? She told me while eating it that she found a seed. I was tired and am not all there in the morning and thought well it is homemade and could have been from the strawberries, so we were happy with that too!! Think about it.....
Yeah that was no seed, it was her tooth!!
I do the dishes in the morning and she had placed the 'seed' on the plate and the tooth was down our drain, ugh!!! I had just lost her first baby tooth to fall out!! Epic mom fail!!! lol!!
I have come to realize that it is ok and I will keep the next one, mean while we have a cute story instead of a tooth!! She was pretty bummed because the toothfairy couldn't collect the tooth and what would happen??? So The 'toothfairy' made a card explaining that she knew she had lost a tooth and it was ok. The toothfairy left one whole dollar!!! She was pretty excited and HAD to spend it right away.
We went to Wal-mart right away and she found a ring lip gloss for 75 cents. That was it, she had to have that!! So all is right with the world and she is one tooth down and so many to go!!!
