My skinny little man! London is 9 months and 17.2 lbs. The doctor is a bit conserned about his lack of weight gain but I think he looks healthy and happy! Yes in the above picture he is trying to (pester) play with sissy! On a different note he is also not making any babbling sounds and that also was a red flag to the doctor so Thursday we are getting evaluated by an early intervention case worker. I have spoke to many people that say their second child was a late talker. Personally I think he is fine but it never hurts to make sure everything is fine! He is a really happy baby and super active, just like his sissy!! He crawls, pulls up, climbs over, and stands occasionally on his own! I am so glad that God blessed us with 2 great babies!

This one's for the boys!

You all know that I love to make things for my children; clothing, hair ties, toys, decorations for there rooms, and all kinds of things! Belle is really easy to make things for simply because she is a girl, and a girlie one at that! I have been hiting a road block when it comes to London! The crafting world is geared more toward girls than boys and that makes it hard for me to make things for London. I also dislike the clothing that are made for little boys, sports, sports, and more sports! We are the opposite of sports people and would like to dress our little boy in clothing that fit our style! This creates a problem, either we spend tons on clothing (which we can not afford) or I make him some fun funky clothes! Today on one of my many blogs that I follow they had a guest blogger and she is just what I was looking for! She has two little boys, she is girlie, and she has great taste! I am momma ,hear me roar ~http://iammommahearmeroar.blogspot.com/

She is great and I can't wait to see more of what she is thinking up! You all should check her out!

5% down!

This week was a much better week for me! I changed what I did last week and came out losing more! I lost 2.8lbs this week, yipee! I am now down to 139.8, which is awesome and sad at the same time. If you know WW then you know that when you go down a decade then you lose points, ugh! I lost 2 points so I am going to have to make more adjustments. I know I shouldn't whine but I was enjoying a snack everynight and I think that is where I will have to make the change. Next week if I lose 1.8lbs then I will have lost 10lbs in less than one month and I will be 1/3 of the way to my goal! I feel really encouraged this week and hope to step it up a little more! My sis in law is also on this journey with me and has given us an incentive, a pool party the beginning of May, thanks! I know that if I keep on this path I will be in the 120's by then so I have to keep that up, I haven't seen that since before Belle!
Oh and WW gave me a preview of what I should weigh, between 99lbs and 124, AAHH!! I was hoping for 118 but I think I will have to go for more, I want to be in the middle of my weight class. So I will continue my dieting past my birthday week, I plan to eat what I want my whole birthday and then during my party. So I think that 108 is a good ending goal, that is just 10lbs less then what I thought and I really think that Ican do this!

Dave would be so proud!

WE PAYED OFF OUR CAR!!!

We made a goal this year that we were going to pay our car off and how we were going to do it! We set the budget and made our tax appointment. We decided that if we got enough to pay our car off then we would and if we didn't then we would start paying off the bottom of our debt snowball and go from there! I can happily say that we got enough and more! We payed off our car and a credit card! We are still on our budget but now we have to redirect a few dollars here and there! I felt so amazing! I love rejoicing in the small things. I mean it is just a car payment but it meant so much to us to be without that! We are on the road to living a debt free life and it is so freeing!

And the Word is God...

I have never been good at having daily devotions. I always plan it and get going and somehow I find other things to do! Since I have been staying home I have wanted to get into a daily routine of spending time with my first love! I think about it often but am always putting it off! Well I think that God was ready and waiting because one day last week I recieved this in the mail! The BUSY MOM'S BIBLE!!! Awhile ago I sign up to get one and review it but truthfully never thought I would get one and I forgot all about it! Then this was in my mail box, isn't it a beauty!! It was the very same day that I made the pink and hot pink shirt, a God thing I know! Pink is such an inspiring color to me, it makes me super happy! So I hear you God, I know that we have not been spending the time together like we should. This is my fault and I am sorry!

Along with the color, which I love!! It has wonderful inspiring Devotions that are geared toward the mom who is like most of us, busy! I love them and am so excited to do them all! They are on things like; guilt, blending families, letting go, pillow talk, finding joy, out with anxiety in with confidence, stillness, true beauty, and so many more! They all hit so close to home for many of us mom's and I am so greatful that this made its way to my door!
It also has in the back 10 and 5 minute reflections. This has scripture and then a question or statement on what you just read. I love this because sometimes I can read something and well then it just goes! I also will be having strong feelings about something and this is perfect for insperation and just hearing God!

I have been having my daily date with God, not everyday but I am working up to that!!! I love just making time to spend with a wonderful creator who loves me enough to care that I love pink and to want to spend time with me!

Losing is for Losers!!!

Yep that is right I am a loser!!! I officially lost again this week. Not as much as I wanted to but isn't it always that way! I lost 1 pound even, that makes me 142lbs! I count that as a success! I am making it to my goal! I think I could have lost more if I didn't over indulge the night before I weighed in! Last night I had 1 and 1/4 bowls of chili with shredded cheese, 3 mini corn bread muffins, half on a brownie, 2 peices of angelfood cake, and 21oz of coke. I enjoyed it all! I think that is why I didn't lose more but I am calling this a lesson learned! I will make that change and maybe enjoy my coke in the middle of the week, maybe Mondays, they are hard day's! With these adjustments I think that I can endulge in a dessert on Thursday nights. Dispite the low number it is still a negative number and I am on my way!! 6 down and 24 left to go, that number doesn't seem that intimidating!

St Patties Day

Well this is one day after but thats ok right?! I decided that I would make the kids' shirts this year, boys clothes are the hardest to find that I want to buy! I don't have a typical taste in boys clothes and that makes it really hard to dress our little guy so I am more inspired to just create what I want and this is my first attempt, be kind! This project like other ones I have done and am doing was free, I love that word!!! I decided they should match, which is harder for boy/girl then with the same gender! I also wanted to do shamrocks, Belle is learning all about them in school and thought it would be appropriate! This shirt is Belle's shamrock up close, I thought she should have a stem!

This is London's close up! I think without a stem was perfect, the same but different!
Ok here is what I did...
I had this project in my head for some time now but when we shopped around looking for the right fabric I was at a stuck! I couldn't find what I wanted for the right price, close to a couple of dollars. Then I remembered that I had a shirt from Clay County Hospital that I was never again going to wear and it was a beautiful green, perfect!!! I then had to find shirts for them. I looked and found a shirt for Belle that was going to be to little soon, just in case I messed up! London's was one that had something on it that I just didn't care for! Now that I had my supplies I was set! I drew a large shamrock with stem on the shirt and it was perfect, the first time (a little luck, I think!). The second one was not as easy, it took me a few times to get it the right size, much smaller!! Then I sat them on the shirt and looked at Matthew, "help?". He told me to put the SR on Belle's shirt off to the side! Oh my that looked wonderful! Londons was perfect in the middle, over the logo! Here are the 2 finished projects! I think this turned out perfect!
Don't they look amazing? We took them outside our church with a friends baby and took some pics!
Hope you all had a great St Patties Day!

From Drab to Fab...

I have been really enjoying my afternoons with a little crafting here and there! Sewing has been a passion of mine since I was little and have been doing it off and on since Jr high. I have been following other blogs for awhile now and they are all so wonderful, I have they're buttons on my page so check them out!! I was inspired by one and knew I had to have a shirt like that, couldn't find the exact blog or post so sorry!
First let me tell you that this whole project cost me nothing, my specialty!!! I had this light pink (gonna call it LT) shirt that I had bought while working at Clay County Hospital and it had there logo embroidered on the left front! I loved this shirt, when I was thinner mind you, and wanted to where it still but not with that logo on it. So when I saw this project I just know it would be perfect to bring this shirt back out of my closet!

Doesn't it look amazing! Ok here is the process! I had little LP there but no fabric that would be perfect with the color. So I thought outside of the box and looked in my drawers and closet... I found a HUGE t-shirt that I had bought when I was pregnant but was not a maternity shirt, I just had to have one! It was a cute Hot Pink (shall we call this one HP) and I knew it would be perfect! The tutorial I saw said that you cut hearts out of HP and create the pattern that you want. That is just what I did! This shirt is like one that I have been seeing all over the high end sites that I wish I could shop at!!!
I just had one thing I had to make sure of, cover that logo! I took all of the hearts and arranged them and pined them. They are going to fold over so I had some sideways, upside down, and straight on. I had to try a few different ways to get it just right but finally I got it! See this is what I was trying to cover up, didn't get the before picks sorry, :( .
This is what it looks like close up! I just love it and can not wait to wear it!! Don't you just love the Hot Pink, Light Pink contrast..... LOVE IT!!!

30 less by 30 years!!!

Yep that's right, first I am going to be 30 years old this year~ please a moment of silence.......
Thank you all, and then second I am going to lose 30 pounds by then! June 8th is my deadline!
I began my journey of weight loss last Friday and wanted to post then but time got away from me, ugh! So here I am one week after I started! After Belle was born and then 2 years later I decided I wanted to lose weight. I tried different ways and nothing was working, bummer!! So I went to Weight Watchers with my mother in law, it was kinda cheesy but I felt incouraged and set my mind on the prize, 30 pounds! I knew I could do it and began counting my points.

So after 2 months and -20 pounds later I thought "WOW I look good!!!". I wasn't at my goal weight but felt really good, for a moment! I gained all of that weight back because after 2 months of super dieting I was hungry!!! I ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted! So I learned from that experience that I can no longer just eat whatever I want all of the time. :( So I had a new goal, after London was born I was going to nurse (you get extra points) and I was going to get that weight off for good!!! I am not losing baby weight from baby #2 this is all from baby #1, I am a bit embarrassed to say that but it is true!! I am also kinda nervous about the whole 30 ordeal (I know everyone says its no big deal, but I am!!!) and I needed something to look forward too! I don't want to spend this year locked in my house crying all day, I would!!! So this is what I am doing to counteract this, and maybe prolonging my life a bit!
I included a picture of what I looked like at my most heavy, I think this is July maybe August. I weighted 152lbs, I am blushing... I started WW and weighted myself at 148lbs~already an improvement!!! And today, Friday, is my first weigh in and I am currently 143lbs.... Woo-hoo!!! 5 pounds in one week, I think I can make my goal!! I am also not having a problem eating less this time, I am actually having a hard time eating all of my points in one day, don't worry I am! So this is the second week of my 30 less by 30 years journey, I am pumped... The warm weather I think was a great help.
Thank you Jesus, I know that you care about my health and the wonderful weather helped so much! You are so great to us all!!
