8 months and counting...

London is 8 months old...
He is such a great baby!! Just look at that smile? He is one of the happiest babies and that is such fun to be around! He can honestly change moods in this house and I think he even tries!

He is truely our little goof-ball!! He loves to try to make us all laugh, and it usually works!

He is trying his little heart out to crawl, but it jsut isn't happening! Everyday I think, "Alright you almost have it!!!". Then he plops down and rests, I know he is close and we all should be ready but we jsut keep watching and waiting, sometimes with a messy floor that is not safe... Oops!! He has been found with many things he should not have; a half eaten crayon(with a different color on it, makes you wonder if he finished one off before we got to him), a pair of Belle's underpants, dog toys, and computer wires...
Here he is up and "rocking"...
Trying to get the camera, something else he should not have!!!
Guthrie and London have a budding friendship that I am trying to control... If you look closely the dog has licked his mouth, yucky!!! I know that the first thing he is going for is Guthrie as soon as he can and I do think that little Guth will be in trouble...
Yeah here they go again...

He is doing new things everyday and I love to watch him grow. I am sad to know that he isn't the cuddly little baby anymore!!! I told him just today that I need more cuddles and he should just let me cuddle him more! He then jumped on me and grabbed my glasses, his favorite!! He is truely all boy and the difference is so much fun to see!! He is more easy going than Belle but more mischievious!!! Love you buddy bear!!!

Valentine's Day Craft

I love crafting and have been finding more and more time to do this these days! With Valentine's Day coming up I wanted to do something and this is the project I came up with! London is now eating babyfood and I am finding myself up to my ears in empty baby jars and I feel really guilty throwing them all away! So I decided that I was going to make this for Belle's pre-k teachers and bus drivers. I have been following other blogs and they have amazing ideas and I wanted to share one of my very own.
I started with a jar that was washed and dryed and peeled off the paper. (sorry there is no pic of that)
I also scrapbook so I got out extra paper, cut it out, and glued it around the jar. (Cute already but not quite finished!)
I thought very hard about the lid and even painted one, didn't really like that! I also sew some and had extra fabric that I just new would be a great top! So I hot glued it to the lid.

This is going to be filled with candy so I knew that they needed to open without falling apart, so I glued everything to the lid!
This is getting much cuter!!!
I had some extra rick-rack and thought well that would really finish it off! I really think it gives it a finished off look!!
This is what my handy dandy little glue gun did to me in the process, yes I burned myself and man was that a bummer!!! So I now am sporting a cute little blister, boo!!
I then added a heart from other paper I had and wrote a valentines message from Arabella on it. I sewed the hearts on with string. They turned out really well and they cost me nothing, yep nothing!! I am pretty proud of that! I love that I was able to make something out of what would have been garbage!

I did go to CVS and pick up 2 bags of M&M's, that were on sale for buy 2 for 5.99 get 2 Extra Care Bucks, so really this all including the candy will cost me $3.99. Hope the teachers and drivers enjoy the little treats!
Matthew helped me take some of the pictures, he is far better at that than I am. Thanks Mr. Kuhlig :)

My books for this month, yes that is plural!!!

I have to tell you that I LOVE James Dobson!!! At church I am going to a ladies group class that is going through a ladies devotional about Marriage, it is intended for a couple but we are doing it as a ladies class and man do I love it!!! I think that he is refreshing and so honest about his relationships!! One day I want to see him speak live!
To all of you who know me this comes to no surprise but Belle is a very strong willed little girl!!! She wants it her way and her way only!! I feel torn by this because I remember being that age, true I really do, and wanting things to always go my way but then I know I have years of experience on her and I do know better on most things!!! So I ventured out to find the above book "The Strong Willed Child" and actually found it at a used book store for $3, yeah!! I tried reading it last year but never finished it because things were going so well with Belle and I thought we had it! She is not acting bad or anything but I know better and thought I should read this book and know what we are coming up on! I think that through this I will be a better mommy to her and eventually she will grow to be a wonderful God loving woman, my ultimate goal!!! I also secretly want her and I to be great friends when she is grown and has a family of her own!!! So my gaol this month in my reading is to finish this book!!!
The second book "Bringing up Boys" is one that I thought I should read now that I am a mommy of one!! I have to tell you, I am completely clueless when it comes to boys!!! I want him to be a great Godly man one day and I honestly think that this book will help me to raise him in this way! I have started this book and completely love it!!! I know I will never completely get boys and their silliness but this is giving me a little insight to them :). Well I think I can read two books in one month, wish me luck?!?!? I will let you know what comes of this but I wanted to be able to say to James, or as I like to call him Jimmie D, "thanks for giving me a little help in raising my kids, you made it just a little easier". And that is what I am trying to accomplish!!!
If you all know of a book about raising girls I am looking for one, I am a girl so I do have some insight but I think that a book would give me a few angles to parenting one!! thanks...
